A nationwide e-commerce marketplace for the Maldives — discover electronics, fashion, and home goods, delivered across the islands. Built as a fast, installable PWA with search, storefronts, and structured product data.
Solo software developer shipping from a small island in the Maldives. I design, build, and run full products end-to-end — from the database to the last pixel.
I'm Hussain Faruhaan — a self-driven developer who takes ideas from a blank file all the way to production, users, and uptime. No handoffs, no silos: I own the architecture, the code, the design, and the deploy.
My work ranges from e-commerce platforms serving an entire country, to self-hosted developer tooling, to civic technology for my island community. If it ships, I probably wore every hat building it.
Based in the Maldives — building for the world.
A few of the public ones. Each shipped, maintained, and run by one person.

A self-hosted remote workbench for your machine — agent terminals, files, git, kanban, mindmap and scheduling, reachable from a browser, the desktop app, or a Telegram bot. My latest public open-source project.

The digital home of the KCA — an NGO serving my home island of Komandoo. I built the platform and the Interactive Komandoo Map, a living map of the island for its community.
A stack of personal and professional projects I can't share just yet — still in the dark, still being built. The good stuff is always cooking behind the scenes.
The day-job track record behind the side projects.
Engineering software at the largest financial institution in the Maldives — building and maintaining systems that serve customers and teams across the country, as part of BML's development team.
Handled IT and infrastructure at the Local Government Authority — the State institution that regulates and oversees the local governance system of the Maldives — keeping its networks, servers, systems, and technical support running end to end.
I'm a founding member of the KCA — a non-profit working for the people of Komandoo, my small home island. Technology is only part of it; the rest is showing up for the community that raised me.
